In the face of our world’s climate and environmental emergency, Alumni for the Planet aims to mobilise as many higher education graduates as possible – schools, universities, etc. – on these two major global issues. We believe that alumni who currently (or will eventually) occupy positions of responsibility have the potential to make a profound impact on their professional environments.

why commit? why now?

The causes of climate and environmental disruption are well documented. We now know that it is possible to still limit their extent, but only under two conditions: we must radically change the way we produce, consume, travel, eat, etc., and most critically, we must do it now by 2030.

The scale of these required changes means that mobilising major stakeholders is not enough. Every single stakeholder on this planet (companies, national and local authorities, civil societies, etc.) and the alumni who are present in them, has a major role to play..

how do i get involved?

Our website contains a vast collection of resources at your disposal. If you need more help, our team of committed volunteers are always available to provide advice and solutions, as well as connect you to the alumni associations within our network:

• Network with other alumni in your area who also want to get involved;
• Access to the ideas, resources and talent needed to take action within your company, local community or as an individual;
• Access reliable information on major climate and environmental issues via a list of pre-approved websites by scientists and experts;
• Demonstrate the results of your actions and inspire others to get involved.
